I. Chip Introduction

The AD7606BSTZ is a 16-bit, simultaneous sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC) produced by Analog Devices and belongs to the Data Acquisition System (DAS).

It supports 8-channel, 6-channel and 4-channel versions, corresponding to AD7606, AD7606-6 and AD7606-4 respectively.

This chip adopts a 64-pin low-profile quadrangular flat package (LQFP), with a size of 10mm×10mm.

II. Introduction to Digital-to-Analog Converters

An analog-to-digital Converter (ADC) is an electronic device whose main function is to convert continuous Analog signals into discrete Digital signals

This conversion process serves as a crucial bridge between analog signal processing and digital signal processing in modern electronic systems,

enabling digital systems to process, analyze and store signals from sensors or other analog sources.

Basic principle:

Sampling: Sample a continuous analog signal at discrete time points to obtain the instantaneous value of the signal.

Quantization: Mapping the continuous analog values obtained from sampling onto a limited number of digital values, usually represented in binary form.

Encoding: Convert the quantified values into digital codes for further processing by the digital system.
